“It’s an unbelievable journey the team is fortunate enough to be a part of,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World. BikeWear World L.L.C. is both an e-commerce clothing store and a media company for cyclists. BikeWear World and uRide.tv focus on BMX, Mountain Biking, Motocross, Road, Spin, Track and Triathlons for gear and video. uRide.tv, the media company, is the virtual experience for cycling, comprised of a video database of manufacturers, race events and bike shops. It specializes in live streaming cycling race events with video commercial integration; as well as, video highlights and video on demand. “The video database contains more than 1,000 videos to date, with 2012 shaping up to be our biggest year yet for production,” says Tauber.

With the advanced technology available, the uRide.tv team is able to offer video on demand of live stream race events, product launches, bike shop grand openings, VIP parties, tours, nationals, championships and trade shows. BMX Nationals, BMC Cascade Cycling Classic, Tour of Utah, Crankworx, Colorado Pro Challenge and our little uRide.tv traveling plane…

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv have been filming on location at some amazing venues this year like the Sea Otter Classic, BMX Nationals, Tour of California, the Philadelphia International Cycling Challenge, Ironman, criterium races, trade shows and bike shop grand openings. “We are gaining momentum as the media source for the cycling industry; proving that we can and will be, bringing coverage of your favorite events. We have the technology, we have the team, we have the connections, we have the fans, and we got the passion. But that is our future in 2012!” says Tauber.

The line up within the next 3 months is incredible! “We will be covering highlights from the BMX Nationals in Las Vegas, the BMC Cascade Cycling Classic from Bend, Oregon, the Crankworx – Colorado mountain biking insanity, the Tour of Utah, BMX Nationals in Tucson, Arizona, the Epic mountain biking race in Breckenridge, Colorado, the Colorado Pro Challenge with a lot of the Tour de France teams, BMX Nationals in Reno, Nevada, the UCI cycling events in Canada, the Philly Universt Grand Prix, BMX Nationals in San Diego, and the Interbike Trade Show, mother of all trade shows for cycling in the USA. There has to be something of interest in there for everyone,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. “We have hired staff around the world to make sure all of our favorite events are covered. And if not, we will get to them, just a matter of time.”

“With all the drama and excitement at the Tour De France this year, industry insiders are reporting that Americans are gravitating towards cycling in a bigger way more than ever. Just wait for the big boys to come to the Colorado Rockies!” says Tauber. “Many of the riders reported being very impressed by the Tour of California and the challenging terrain California has to offer. Let’s see how their legs hold up after all of the Tours and then being introduced to some of America’s real mountains.”

Monumental events will be taking place within the sport disciplines of BMX, Motocross, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, Track and Triathlons over the next few months. So stay tuned and up to date!

2011 The Year of Change: Health, Train, Enlightenment, Races, Bikes, Products and Nationals!

Go Positive, Be Healthy, Be Successful, BMX Nationals, Tour of California, Trade Shows, Stage Race Crits, and lots of Tours…

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv is booked every weekend for the next 10 months. It is very exciting that the bike industry is officially kicking up the notch on the hot level. “We have videographers in 7 states booked from city to city covering BMX, Crit stage races, Motocross events, Tours and Trade Shows. The level of excitement among riders, event directors, videographers and fans is at an all time high. It is about time our country showed some passion, love for bikes and taking on health. I think we, as a country, as a people, have hit rock bottom and realize that we can rise, grabbing onto things that center us, make us happy, creating positive results throughout. Even though the media and statistics are showing stagnated growth, level of depression and major hostility; the malls, races, the roads are full of positive people taking charge of change. The cycling industry is growing by leaps and bounds. Triathlons are finally considered as a sport and even recognized in the Olympics; as is BMX, and Cyclocross, where beers are served and bikes are cool, is becoming hot!,” says Sami Tauber, CEO, of BikeWear World L.L.C.

“People are tired of having nothing to look forward to, nothing to feel passionate about and nothing to wake up every day to get excited about. If you look on the roads, on the trails, on the tracks, people are doing it! People are not waiting around anymore. It is the most exciting thing ever! Bike manufacturers are inventing some amazing new developments; race events are turning up in every city; cycling groups and clubs are popping up everywhere; and even rural cities are making changes! We have a lot to look forward to as a country. We just have to power through, one day at a time. So, dust off your bike, get to a mechanic for a tune up, visit your local bike shop, and get involved! Baby Boomers are coming of age as our older generation this year in the millions and are preoccupied with health and their “bucket list.” Make room for them on the roads, on the trails, in the race age groups, because they have a level of passion that has been stifled. They are ready! Are you? ” says Tauber.

uRide.tv has hired on some heavy duty, very experienced videographers this year for 2011. From Oprah’s cameraman, Tim Burton’s 3D animator, Fuel TV’s camera crew, to even Ricki Lake’s camera guy, these videographers are out there ready to film you! Some very cool events are planned in the next few months of 2011. Pennsylvania has some road races like the Grove Classic, Long Pine Classic, Salisbury Road Race, Urban Dare Pittsburg, Cannonman Triathlon, Nittany Lion Cross, Marshman Triathlon, tons of duathlons and the Ironman 70.3 Pocono Mountains events which Uride.tv will be covering. Utah has the Tour of Utah, Tour of Depot, Gran Fondo of Moab, Park City Triathlon, Shark City Triathlon, Hell of the North Road Race, and Ironman St. George. Trade shows in Austin, Texas; Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, California will be all attended by videographers, highlighting the new product launches by the bike manufacturers for 2012. Mountain Biking and Road Races in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon will be covered. Hawaii Xterra, Triathlons and Ironman events will be featured.

The whole state of California will be covered from top to bottom for all events in BMX, motocross, road, track and triathlons. Even countries like Mexico and France are in the line up! Make sure to keep up to date on your passion!

BikeWear World L.L.C. partners with Mammoth Motocross!

uRide.tv will be the exclusive media for the Mammoth Motocross…

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv just came off a 10 day road trip with Amgen’s Tour of California. “The experience was nothing like we expected,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. uRide.tv had videographers through every stage filming highlights of the energy it takes to put a race on of this caliber, the passion of the fans, the fight and courage the riders braved after hours and miles of riding. I knew this year was going to be fun and amazing, but I had no idea that we were going to have access and involvement with events of this caliber. This is like winning a free trip to Disneyland for kids. Honestly, it does not get much better than having the opportunity to film one of my favorite riders Mr. George Hincapie and my most favorite blue eyed actor, Mr. Patrick Dempsey. I think the best part of the whole experience is being able to re-live it through our videos. It was like saying goodbye after a 10day summer camp. The relationships we made on the road with fellow media members, AEG representatives, fans, athletes, local restaurant and hotel employees was an amazing experience. I highly recommend experiencing a few days on the road with this tour to anyone who loves this sport. Being out there enabled us to feel the love our industry still has for the sport of cycling and professional cyclists,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C.

“Our next huge event will be partnering with Mammoth Motocross,” says Tauber. “Back in 1968, Don Rake and some friends decided to put on a motocross event in Mammoth Lakes, California. They built a world-class track 8,000 feet up in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Dave McCoy came along and offered the backing of his Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and the rest is history. Every summer racers have flocked to Mammoth Mountain for this classic event. It is the oldest continuous running motocross in the USA. The track has changed a little over the years, but the fun hasn't. Many of the top racers in the world have honed their skills at this event. There have been some epic battles over the years and many racers have made a name for themselves on this track. Riders like Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, Rick Johnson, Johnny O'Mara, Broc Glover, Donny Schmitt, Steve Lamson, Gary Jones, Kevin Windham, David Bailey, Jeff Ward, Ron Lechien, Bob Hannah, James Stewart, Mike Bell, Donny Hansen and many more. It also has become one of the major amateur events in the country as well. You can see the factory riders of tomorrow racing in the mini classes at Mammoth today,” according to the race director. This event is scheduled from June 17-June 27, 2010.

With more than 2500 participants actively racing in the Mammoth Motocross, uRide.tv will be filming every day! Come on by and share the love and experience of riding!

BikeWear World L.L.C. partners with Amgen’s Tour of California!

uRide.tv will be the exclusive media for the “Breakaway Ride presented by Specialized” with Patrick Dempsey and George Hincapie…

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv have been contacted by PacificSports L.L.C. and AEG to film the “Breakaway Ride presented by Specialized” with celebrity guest riders Patrick Dempsey and George Hincapie. “I knew this year was going to be fun and amazing, but I had no idea that we were going to have access and involvement with events of this caliber. This is like winning a free trip to Disneyland for kids. Honestly, it does not get much better than having the opportunity to film one of my favorite riders Mr. Hincapie and my most favorite blue eyed actor, Mr. Dempsey,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C.

“Cycling enthusiasts and fans are invited to participate in "Breakaway Ride presented by Specialized,” two riding events held in conjunction with the upcoming 2010 Amgen Tour of California professional cycling race set for May 16-23, 2010. Both rides will be held in April 2010 to raise funds for Amgen's Breakaway from Cancer® initiative, which aims to raise awareness of the continuum of resources available from prevention to education, and patient care to advocacy and financial support. The Breakaway from Cancer nonprofit partners include the Prevent Cancer Foundation, Cancer Support Community (formerly The Wellness Community), Patient Advocate Foundation and National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship,” according to the director.

“Each ‘Breakaway Ride’ gives cycling enthusiasts the opportunity to ride the actual route of the 2010 Amgen Tour of California. Three distances will be offered for each ride to accommodate various skill levels; the longest distance covers the same route that the pros will ride (an entire stage). Riders will be chip timed and supported, with a maximum of 3,500 riders per event,” quoted from the race event director’s site breakawayride.com.

uRide.tv will be filming the stage 8 route, which is the preliminary event “Breakaway Ride presented by Specialized” prior to the actual Tour of California course, from Thousand Oaks/ Westlake Village/ Agoura Hills on April 11, 2010. “We actually are flying the plane up to Davis, California to do a dry run of aerial photography above the second “Breakaway Ride presented by Specialized” on April 25, 2010 to see if it’s prudent for the Tour of California in May,” says Tauber. “I am not sure if it will look cool above the peloton or on the road with the peloton. We are going to have fun with it, regardless. I can’t wait to see Mark Cavendish, George Hincapie, Rahsaan Bahati, Floyd Landis, Cesar Grajales, Carlos Sastre, Dave Zabriskie, Christian VandeVelde, Lance Armstrong and all the competition it’s going to bring right in our back yard! We don’t have to fly to France now to watch the greatest cycling legends battle it out,” says Tauber.

Once again, May, is probably the most exciting month for all riding enthusiasts. The FIM World Championships in Supercross will be held in Las Vegas and the Tour of California, which will be making its way from city to city, starting in Nevada City ending in Los Angeles. “We can’t wait! So link up and join us,” says Tauber.

The 2010 Line up of Race Events, Bike Tours, Championships!

BMX Nationals, Jax Bicycle Shops, Tour De Palm Springs and Lance Armstrong…

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv kicked off 2010 with a bang, confirming an amazing line up of events and athletes for the next 4 months. “January and February started with the BMX Silver Dollar Nationals, video commercials with Jax Bicycle Shops, the race series at the Los Angeles Velodrome (inside the prestigious Home Depot Center, used in the 1984 Olympics), several Supercross series and interviews, the Tour De Palm Springs with Olympian Gold Medalist Kristin Armstrong, and that’s just the beginning! I can’t wait for this year,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C.

“There seems to be more of an awareness and involvement in riding, sports and nutrition this year. The results are better levels of participation not only in races and at events, but support, volunteers, fans, viewers online and in our industry as a whole. It is a very exciting time. With professionals like James “Bubba” Stewart, Josh Hill, Jake Weimer, Kevin Windham, Lance Armstrong, Christian Vande Velde, Will Frischkorn, Steve Peat, Josh Bryceland, Jared Graves, Alise Post, Dominique Daniels and thousands of others out there pedaling towards their dreams, the next 4 months are going to be so cool!,” says Tauber.

Monumental events will be taking place within the sport disciplines of BMX, Motocross, Mountain Biking, Road Cycling, Track and Triathlons over the next few months. There is the Gran Fondo, a road ride in San Diego, the Solvang Century, the Tuscon Bike Classic, BMX nationals in Phoenix, the Southridge Mountain Biking series, the kick off to the triathlon season in La Quinta, the San Diego Triathlon, Ironman 70.3 Oceanside. And that is just in March!

April has the one of the biggest cycling events open to the public called the Sea Otter Classic. Taking place in Monterrey, California, this event has got to the most fun on the west coast. April also has the Ironman 70.3 Texas, Superfrog Triathlon, Newport Beach Triathlon, the San Diego Custom bike show, the Alpine Tour with celebrity riders and BMX nationals in Bakersfield.

May, is probably the most exciting month for all riding enthusiasts though. The FIM World Championships in Supercross will be held in Las Vegas. Riders alike will all be anticipating the return of the Tour of California, which will be making its way from city to city, starting in Nevada City ending in Los Angeles. Several professional cyclists will be pedaling to prove that cycling is absolutely alive and very strong. The fan participation is expected to be at an all time high.

uRide.tv has plans to fly over the peloton, capturing aerial footage and interviews with the athletes after in the press conferences. Stay tuned!

June is prime racing season for triathlons and Ironman events. uRide.tv has also made arrangements to fly through Colorado, visiting the Olympic Training Center, interviewing the Olympic Triathletes, bike shops, bike manufacturers, making the way up north to Idaho for the Ironman.

Make sure to keep up to date on your passion! Keep pedaling, keep dreaming and ride hard…

BikeWear World L.L.C and uRide.tv: Breaking News!

Private flights for clients, professionally sponsored athletes and friends...

BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv just confirmed breaking news that private flights will occur for 2010 to sponsored events; carting around professional athletes, business acquaintances, clients and media crew. Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C., has decided to get her private pilot license so that it will be easier to accommodate a media crew and passengers traveling together to sponsored events and media covered events. "uRide.tv has gained so much momentum and popularity this past year that it actually made more sense economically to fly the friendly skies ourselves, rather than driving for hours and commuting commercially. Traveling really takes its toll on the crew, so it made more sense to invest in the future,” says Sami Tauber.

"Capturing videos and highlighting the featured events for 2010 include, but are not limited to: The Athens Twilight Criterium race series in Athens, Georgia, the Iron Hill Twilight series in West Chester, PA, the Presbyterian Hospital Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Capitol Criterium in Washington DC, the Chris Thater Memorial in Binghamton, NY, the Texas Tough Grand Prix in Texas, the southridge mountain biking, 4x, downhilling, cross country series, all Ellsworth mountain biking sponsored events, all Shadow Tours century rides, Ironman events, the Sea Otter Classic, all San Diego race series events, Tour of California, Tour de France and much more," says Tauber. "The opportunities for the company are endless right now. We are having a blast!"

The Athens Twilight Criterium series race director Gene Dixon, who has been involved in cycling events for years can't wait to work with Tauber and her team again. “After a successful event live from Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas we are, for sure, prepared for another awesome year with Gene and his crew,” says Tauber. Gene Dixon oversees several events in the south and on the east coast representing some of the most important bicycling events throughout the year. Audiences are nearly 30,000 deep at each event.

BikeWear World L.L.C. is definitely thinking outside the box in order to keep the crowd entertained. And with clips of cyclists like Lance Armstrong, George Hincapie, Dave Zabriskie, Mark Cavendish, Brooke Miller, BMX Olympians Mike Day, Jill Kintner, Supercross sensations Jeremy McGrath, Davi Millsaps, Kevin Windham, mountain bikers JD Swanguen, Jebadiah Ken and coaches like Felipe Loureiro, manufacturers Mavic, 2XU, SRAM, Campy, Zipp...who wouldn’t be entertained?

From outfitting one rider at a time, BikeWear World L.L.C. has graduated and successfully introduced its sister, uRide.tv, and the cycling industry's first video yellow pages.

BikeWear World LLC and uRide.tv go to Interbike, Las Vegas and Ironman, Cancun!

A long time coming…and the biggest trade show and world championship qualifier are upon us!
After some tough negotiations for press credentials, uRide.tv has finally proven to be a vehicle in motion, a power house. Ironman 70.3 in Cancun, Mexico will be filmed by a trained videographer team; while, Interbike 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada will have half of a bakers dozen of videographers on hand.
Cancun, Mexico is the last official Ironman race in which one may compete for a World Championship slot in Clearwater, Florida. The 70.3 course will prove to be anything but easy. According to the event director, the “SWIM: 1.2 miles (1.9 km or 1 lap), starts and finishes at Nizuc beach (250 meter from Wet n Wild park). Water temperature for the month of September in Cancun is likely to be around 84°F; therefore, wetsuits will not be permitted. Based in the Caribbean waters and through the Mayan temples, the race is designed to be tough. The bike course is 56 miles, which starts on Kukulcan Boulevard. The course is flat, paved on very good conditions and with a few sharp corners. The half marathon course is 2 laps on a 6.6 mile circuit, starting at the Wet N Wild parking lot to the right, towards downtown Cancun on Kukulcan Boulevard. There are aid stations every other km with Gatorade, water, ice, PowerBar (bars and gel), Vaseline, Coke and medical assistance. There will be race officials at every turnaround and along the course, as well as timing mats and video cameras.” So be sure to stay tuned in and watch live coverage on Ironman and highlights on uRide.tv!
Interbike 2009: Outdoor Dirt Demo is taking place in Boulder City, Nevada September 21 – 22, where you can literally test hundreds of different frames on an outdoor riding course. It is a great way to experience riding the new titanium frame or the new carbon handlebars on your favorite bike. The actual product show Interbike, is in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 23 – 25th, 2009. This show allows manufacturers to display their products they have developed for the upcoming year to retailers and people within the cycling industry. People travel from as far away as China, Europe and South America to showcase their products and services or to even negotiate in new business ventures. About one thousand booths are actively registered at the show this year and uRide.tv plans on capturing at least half of those in product commercials for this next year! So stay tuned to find your favorite manufacturers and what they have lined up for you and for 2010!

Big events, awesome number of participants and Olympic athletes being filmed by BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv…
“Taking this to the next level,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. “The game has been brought and we have upped the ante, going large. We will be flying to New York City, Tucson, Arizona, and Los Angeles for some serious sporting events. Bike shops are even anticipating our crews producing video commercials. Time is now and it’s hot!”
The Ironman Lake Placid is coordinated by FORD Ironman USA and is a serious race with several big titles and names participating. According to the race director, “The Ironman event is centered amidst the northern beauty of the Adirondack region, Lake Placid, which is a solid choice as host for the Triathlon. The Lake Placid course presents challenging sections on both the bike and run courses that gave last year's nearly 2,000 competitors a workout to remember. Famous champions include Thomas Hellriegel, Heather Fuhr, Melissa Spooner, Steve Larsen, and Cameron Widoff. The course is nothing short of spectacular. The swim takes place in the pristine Mirror Lake. The challenging bike course winds through the Adirondack Mountains, and is both scenic and tough - what more could a triathlete want? The run is no picnic, either, and offers up some more great scenery, along with some more challenging hills. Put it all together and you have the essence of Ironman ... a race that captures both the beauty and the challenges of the area, and the sport.” With 65 age group slots and 7 pro slots shooting for World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, this will mark an unbelievable venue!
Don`t miss what will be one of the Best National Events of 2009! The BMX southwest nationals will be bringing out some serious competition to date. Several of the Olympic riders will be racing against each other and the clock for an unprecedented track ride of the year! The event will be held inside a World class facility in Tucson, Arizona. “It will be interesting to watch and catch up with all of our favorites for sure; like Phil Delizia, Dominique Daniels, and Mikey Day” says Tauber.

Stewart also won the 2009 AMA Supercross Championship. This will be the first X Games appearance for Stewart. In addition to the two new disciplines, two events have been renamed for 2009. Moto X Racing will be renamed Super X where you will see the debut of racing icon, James Stewart, compete in his first X Games. Skateboard and BMX Freestyle SuperPark will be renamed to Skateboard Park and BMX Freestyle Park where you will see Rune Glifberg and Daniel Dhers defend their titles, respectively. Glifberg is one of the few athletes who will celebrate his 15th X Games having competed in every X Games since its inception in 1995. “This summer is hot and people are ready for fun, sun and some serious racing,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. “We have every intention on capturing as many races across the nation this summer as possible. We have a huge crew of videographers on location in cities, heavily anticipating, capturing great footage of professional, age groupers and beginner triathletes. We will be covering within the next couple of weeks the San Francisco Golden Gate Triathlon, the San Diego International Triathlon and then the internationally famous New York City Triathlon through Central Park.”
The Golden Gate Triathlon is coordinated by TriFreak and is a newer race in the San Francisco area. There are 2 different courses available this year: an Olympic and sprint distance. The swim start begins at Crissy Field Beach, while transitioning on San Francisco’s beachside, then hopping on the bike, riding through the streets in a loop course. The run is over the Golden Gate Bridge while you can take in the beautiful views ending back at Crissy Field.
The San Diego International Triathlon actually offers 2 different courses as well. The Olympic and sprint distances start at the Spanish Landing Park and end at the famous SeaPort Village. The course is very difficult and has been known to bring out some international athletes making this race very competitive.
The Nautica New York City Triathlon is an amazing venue that offers only an Olympic distance. 3000 athletes are expected to race in the Hudson River before biking along Manhattan's West Side highway and running through New York's famed Central Park. This race brings in some Olympic contenders, as well as, previous Olympic winners.
We invite you to watch our footage from our live streaming video feed shortly on uRide.tv! In the meantime, we will have videos embedded onto our site allowing people to view any of these races, among several others already posted from the Tour de France 2008, and the Tour of California 2009 with press conferences and interviews.

The Encinitas Sports Festival will be filmed live by uRide.tv

The San Diego Century Bike Ride, the AVIA Encinitas Triathlon and BikeWear World L.L.C….

What could be better than a weekend of sun, surf and sand in San Diego? A little competition… According to the CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. Sami Tauber, “This event is one of the biggest in San Diego County, which is monumental in kicking the triathlon season off right. The events are directed by world renowned athletes and coaches Paul Huddle and Roch Frey, two of my all time favorites! There are so many events and parties happening during this festival weekend that it is hard to stay focused on exactly which event you would like to participate in.”

Though the Encinitas Sports Festival has been a recent addition to the triathlon, cycling, running and paddle board calendar, it has caused a big stir in the community. More than 5,000 participants, spectators, friends and families will be in the area for this extravaganza. Encinitas is a sleepy beach town that has become the avid cyclist and triathlete’s dream. The weather, surf, sand and people have made this location a premier destination to travel, race and train.

The Sports Festival is comprised of 10 different competitions: there is the family and friends local 5k/1k run race that is an USATF sanctioned race, which features free refreshments, event t-shirt and goody bag for all participants; the San Diego Century ride, which features either a 37 mile, 66 mile, or 103 mile challenging course offering up to 5 aid stations; the AVIA Encinitas Sprint Triathlon, allowing participants to choose between a super sprint distance, sprint distance and beach duathlon; the Moonlight Beach Paddle Board Race, the 1 mile open water ocean swim, and lastly the party at the expo!

According to the race director, “The Encinitas Sports Festival Expo is a two day expo combining fun, food and 40+ booths full of the latest in sports, fitness and health. Try free samples of what’s new in heath and fitness products, buy some local food from one of our vendors or talk with one of our fitness exhibitors about getting or staying in the health you want. And it’s all FREE!”

“These types of events are the biggest reasons to become active and healthy in the community. It is a real bonding experience with friends, trainers, partners and competitors,” says Tauber.

uRide.tv will be on location in Athens for the Twilight Criterium!

BikeWear World L.L.C. will be filming race highlights live in Athens, Georgia at the biggest east coast cycling event in 2009…
According to the Twilight Criterium’s race directors; the main event, “Will feature cyclists representing teams from all over the nation and the world. The men's criterium is an 80-km race around historic downtown Athens. The course start-finish is on Clayton Street at College Avenue. The 1 kilometer course runs clockwise on Clayton, Lumpkin, Washington and Thomas. The highlight of this event, being the 30th year, will take place during the night time and will include incredible high speed action. The women’s field is stacked and kicks off the USA CRITS Speed Week and National Series at the Athens Twilight. With $120,000 in prize money on the line for the USA Crits Series, the Athens Twilight Criterium is dubbed the most insane criterium in the world.” According to the CEO, Sami Tauber of BikeWear World L.L.C., “this is another monumental achievement for uRide.tv to be apart of and for the industry.”

According to the Twilight Criterium event directors, “This year's Twilight BMX Jam competition will feature flatland and street (ramp) classes for both amateurs and pros. In addition to ramp set-up, there will also be the new Freestyle Connection quarter-pipe/box jump set-up with quarters, box jumps, spines, wall rides, and lots more! Last year, America’s #1 pro Terry Adams showed up! This event is promoted by The Freestyle Connection, which specializes in performing BMX Stunt Shows for all ages of kids. Along with performing amazing stunts as seen in the X-Games, The Freestyle Connection also promotes a drug-free lifestyle. Based right out of Athens, Georgia, you will not want to miss this impressive display of stunts and tricks on Saturday, April 25, 2009.”

The Twilight Criterium even has a handcycle race series that is quoted to be a “4 corner, rectangular (1k) criterium course. Fast, with a climb on the back stretch and an off-camber turn.”

“A handcycle race series…how cool is that!” says Tauber. “We invite and encourage you to watch clips from the Twilight Criteriums’s web community, but make sure to check out uRide.tv’s video of the coolest racing highlights the cycling field has to offer,” says Tauber.

Keep Pedaling, Keep Dreaming and Ride Hard…

BikeWear World L.L.C. by Greg Smith

31 Jan 2009 Uncategorized

With a background in sports, nutrition and traveling; Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World, has unleashed a wealth of opportunity for bike riders internationally.  BikeWear World, according to Tauber, represents a community close to home, being just a click away. The main focus at BikeWear World is to outfit one ride at a time, says Tauber. Many riders are ill-prepared for those 25, 50, 100 milers. Whether it is weather related or emotional, Tauber says that she has been there cold, lonely and thirsty. She hopes that the community of riders will bond on her site downloading their video clips from around the world, displaying trails, wipe outs, equipment reviews, race results and just plain shopping experiences. She hopes that it turns out to be an open arms experience of sharing knowledge, expertise and professionalism.

The response has been overwhelmingly amazing. The bike industry whether it is Road, Mountain, MotoX, Bmx, Triathlon, Track and even Spin classes have predominantly been geared towards the male gender, while the female community just recently started showing interests. I hope to have more girl power out there, with broader options for clothing, says Sami. Several girlfriends have verbalized frustration with the limited amount of colors and size options available. Tauber says that she will offer brand names focusing on female lines, since she is a female athlete herself. Some of the brand names she will be carrying will be Campagnolo, Castelli, Canari, Troy Lee Designs, 661, Skirtsports(founder Nicole DeBoom), Zoot, 2XU, Adidas and several more. Sami Tauber, CEO, BikeWear World, intends to help those bikers in need on the bike path across the street from her retail shop as well as outfitting one ride at a time internationally.
